SGT-2 2 Gauge Automotive Battery Cable
Allied Wire and Cable's 2 gauge battery cable is called SGT-2 and is an important part of our Automotive wire and battery cable line. SGT-2 is composed of a 133/.0218 stranded bare copper conductor alongside the incredibly useful polyvinylchloride (PVC) insulation. These specifications are important because having a stranded copper conductor makes it much more flexible, and the PVC insulation gives good resistance to water and oils. Furthermore, these cables are rated for 50 volts, have a temperature range of -40°C to 105°C, and weigh approximately 258 lbs/MFT. The low voltage wire is perfect for systems that a car needs, like for collision detection and more. SGT cables may be used in starter or battery ground circuits in accordance with SAE J-1127 and are manufactured to meet both Ford and Chrysler specifications.
