What is Alpha ThermoThin?

ThermoThin is a new line of hook-up wire manufactured by Alpha Wire. This line offers reliable performance in applications where a high-temperature range is needed due to extreme heat and demanding environmental challenges.

ThermoThin's high-temperature range makes it ideal for military use, energy generation and production, semiconductor, oil, and gas applications. These wires are also designed to save space and weight. Their outer diameter ranges from 0.013 to 0.069in, so they are great for usage where space is limited.

Features and Construction

Alpha Wire's ThermoThin line features small and lightweight wires. The wires have a nickel-plated copper conductor and ECA fluoropolymer insulation. ThermoThin is available in conductor sizes 36 AWG to 16 AWG and has a voltage rating of up to 600V.

The feature that sets ThermoThin wire apart from other hook-up wire is its broad temperature range and ability to save space and weight. ThermoThin wires have a temperature range of -150˚C to +300˚C, allowing it to be used for many strenuous applications.

These wires are also environmentally friendly, being both RoHS2 and REACH compliant. Sizes 30 AWG and larger are UL AWM 11540 compliant and pass UL horizontal flame qualifications. ThermoThin hook-up wire also comes in a variety of colors: black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, grey, and white.
