Switchboard Wire
In the electrical industry, switchboard wire is often referred to as SIS wire. This particular type of lead wire is available in a number of different gauge sizes. It features a solid or stranded tinned copper conductor and cross-linked XLPE insulation. Our SIS cable has a voltage rating of 600V and a maximum temperature of 90°C in dry locations. The tough XLPE insulation in our SIS wire lowers interference while keeping the wire flexible.
This hook-up wire is suitable for use in the wiring of switchboards, panel board, and other circuit control applications. This cable's conductors are highly flexible, making them easier to install in tight spaces. They are also tinned to help facilitate soldering. Our SIS cable is UL and CSA Type SIS approved. It is also RoHS Compliant. Allied Wire and Cable also offers building wire, XHHW wire, and MTW/TEW wire. If you aren't sure which type of wire is best for your next application, contact us today!
