BRC-10-2 Brake Cable
Our BRC-10-2 is a 10 gauge 2 conductor brake cable. It consists of two 19/.0223 stranded bare copper conductors that provide superior conductivity and are laid flat in the cable for excellent flexibility. The cable also features a PVC insulation and jacket which provides the cable with great resistance to temperatures as high as 105°C. These qualities make our 10 gauge 2 conductor brake cable optimal for use as a parking brake cable. Whenever a parking brake is used, the cable connecting the handle or pedal and the brakes is pulled and it is not loosened until the brake is released. As this cable ages, it can become stretched or worn making it less effective and safe to use. Since our 10 gauge 2 conductor brake cable has superior flexibility, it is more resistant to weakening over time. Additionally, friction can cause this cable to experience some strong heat, but since our cable's maximum temperature rating qualifies it to handle this heat with little risk of becoming damaged, the cable is ideal for use in parking brake systems.
