BRC-14-2 Brake Cable
Our BRC-14-2 is a 14 gauge 2 conductor brake cable. It has a PVC jacket and insulation that allow for a temperature rating of -40°C to 105°C. The jacket surrounds two bare copper 19/.0140 stranded conductors, which are laid flat in order to increase flexibility. Our 14 gauge 2 conductor brake cable is typically used to connect parking brakes to the handle or pedal due to its flexibility. This means that whenever the pedal is pressed or handle is pulled, the cable will tighten. Therefore, the cable must be resistant to stretching and wear from repeated tightening. Additionally, its heat resistance is also extremely helpful in this application, as it allows the cable to handle the heat that is caused by high friction. While parking brakes are the most common use for this cable, our 14 gauge 2 conductor brake cable can be used for various applications in trucks, trailers, and other automotive vehicles.
