1028-8-133T Machine Tool Wire
Machine tool wires (MTW) are wires that are designed to be suitable to wire machine tools, appliances, electrical panels, and other electrical equipment. All MTW cables use moisture- and heat-resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation. the 1028-8-133 MTW meets the specifications of the UL 1028 standard. It uses relatively thin PVC insulation. When these wires exceed 19 strands, they are relatively stiff and hold shape when bent, however, cables with more strands will be more flexible.
The 1028-8-133 MTW is comprised of 133 strands of 29 AWG (0.0113 inches) tinned copper insulated in a PVC outer jacket. This wire conforms to the standards for AWM 1028, UL 1231, and Std. 758. The cable can withstand temperatures up to 105 degrees Celsius.
