Riser-rated fire alarm cable is available in shielded power-limited multi-conductor cabling or unshielded power-limited multi-conductor cable. It has NEC FPLR and CEC CMG FT4 ratings. It is also California State Fire Marshall approved.
FPL cable is a power-limited mid-capacitance cable, available in shielded and unshielded constructions. Non-power-limited signal cable, which is NEC rated NPLF, also has unshielded and shielded parts. It has a maximum voltage rating of 150V according to NEC Article 760.
Plenum-rated fire alarm cables include unshielded power-limited FPLP alarm cable, shielded power-limited FPLP cable, unshielded power-limited mid-capacitance FPLP cable, and shielded power-limited mid-capacitance FPLP alarm cable. FPLR-CIC and FPLR-CI rated cables are also available from Allied.
