Belden audio cable is available in many different constructions for all of your audio and sound system needs. Shielded audio cable (non-plenum) has solid or stranded bare copper conductors, PVC insulation, a PVC jacket, and a Beldfoil shield. Parts that are 24 AWG to 16 AWG are NEC-rated CMR FPLR (Belden 5000UE, 5100UE, 5000FE, and 5100FE are the parts with the FPLR dual rating). Parts that are 14 AWG and 12 AWG are rated CL3R. All have a voltage rating of 300V and a temperature rating of +75°C.
Plenum shielded audio cable and plenum unshielded audio cable are also available. They come with solid or stranded bare copper conductors, Flamarrest insulation and jacketing, and Beldfoil shielding on shielded parts. These cables have a maximum temperature of +75°C. For both shielded and unshielded versions, 22 AWG to 16 AWG cables have CMP and 300V ratings. Cables 14 AWG and larger have CL2P and 150V ratings.
Pro audio cable and intercom cable are shielded multi-conductor cables. It meets CMP ratings and carries 75°C and 300V ratings. It has bare copper conductors, FEP insulation, and a natural Flamarrest jacket. It is cabled with Beldfoil tape shielding and drains wire.
The Commercial sound cable is also available for applications such as nurse call stations, commercial sound systems, paging systems, and more. It is CM rated and has a voltage rating of 300V. You can choose from paired and multi-conductor constructions with solid bare copper conductors and PVC jackets. Paired cables have polyolefin insulation and multi-conductor parts have polypropylene insulation. For plenum-rated commercial sound cable, 24 AWG parts are available with a CMP rating, bare copper conductors, FEP insulation, and Flamarrest jacketing.
